Unraveling the History of Violence in the Middle East: Israel vs. Palestine

Why is there no peace in the Middle East? Don’t they deserve to live happily?

The desert sand blows hard with missiles and guns; in search of oil, land, god, and religion.
When will there be peace for all the people there?

Carefully constructing a community with streets, buildings, and temples. Creating harmony. Then, in just moments to minutes, bombs appear and destroy everything that took decades to build.

History of the land of fire and blood

The story of the Israel and Palestine war takes us back to the 17th century BC when Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham settled in this region. Seven centuries later, King Saul, followed by King David and King Solomon, established a monarchy in the region with Jerusalem as its capital. They even built the first temple on this holy land. Peace prevailed in the area and people lived in harmony and spirituality. Little did they know everything was about to change for them in the coming years.
Solomon passed away; and the kingdom split into two; Israel and Judah. The Romans changed the name from Judah to Palestine, around the 1st century BC; breaking the connection between the two lands.

Birth of Christianity and Islam

Christianity getting popular around the time was spreading like wildfire; 700 years later was the dawn of Islam. All three religions began owning Jerusalem as their holy land.
The land became a hotspot; many empires fought over it including Turks, crusaders, and Ottoman Empire. The Big O changed the name to Palestine unofficially.

The new age of terror

By the 20th century, more Jewish people from around the world came back to Israel.
By the end of World War 1, the Ottoman Empire shattered into pieces picked up by the British.
More conflicts started between Arabs and the Jews living in Israel. World War 2 saw the holocaust killing 6 million Jews; the rest, living in fear, tried to escape to Israel.

Peace is never an option

UN added the oil to the blazing fire after the 2nd world War; giving more land to Jews who were less in number compared to the Arabs.
This was followed by Israel establishing an independent state, initiating decades of never-ending war around the region.

This war is for land, religion, and ownership. Will this ever end? Who is the rightful owner of the place? Is it for the Jews or the Arabs?
The land; is it Palestine or Israel?
Is it right for Iran, Egypt, and the US to enter the war zone?

Whatever it is, the fight for land that is going to eat us; god, who already left us is of no use to the people who want to live like this. May peace prevail, ending war and fostering world development.
