Thalapathy Vijay's Moviegoers Left Ticketless – Leo Multiplexes Under Fire

What did Thalapathy Vijay do to get this much hate? Before Leo’s release, they faced an endless stream of obstacles. Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj, will be released on October 19, 2023. The movie’s hype is enormous in Tamil Nadu; fans have been rushing to the theatres to advance-book the tickets. But where are the tickets?

Thalapathy the villain?

The movie had many controversies as soon as they released the trailer; mainly the scene where Vijay shouts a bad word. It is an action movie; filled with drugs, gangs, and violence. What is a bad word going to do to the society? Making a fuss over all his movies has become a new trend; especially after his recent interest in politics. The movie’s audio launch was canceled; then the 4am fan special shows reached the bin.

Now there are endless controversies from the media about Vijay smoking in the Naa ready Dhan song. They are even digging up the lyrics in the song. But why hit a star who is just acting? Is it a clear sign of fear of his arrival in the political game? Or is it his mass fan followers? What are they afraid of?

Fans or foes?

Thalapathy’s fans should also behave; by not breaking cinema halls and causing chaos in his name. Celebration differs from causing a ruckus. The recent incident for Leo’s trailer release in Rohini theatre is an obvious example.

Why are there no tickets?

Before the release, no theatres had tickets for the audience; pre-blocked by the theatre management for the VIP. Fans and the general audience had to struggle to book even a single ticket. This is a disaster to experience; a failure to deliver from PVR and Book my show.

People should obviously celebrate such large-scale movies. Industry thrives on such movies; tickets being wiped out; encourages producers to make more good movies, but are the audiences actually getting the tickets?
Many complain that theatres sell the tickets in bulk to bigger parties or even to influential people. If this doesn’t stop, people will obviously find alternate ways to experience the star’s performance; stop relying on the theatres. Other states and countries are doing a brilliant job and Tamil Nadu is stuck with politics.

There are going to be many more star-packed, hyped movies in the future; hope distributors and ticket partners make it easy for cinema lovers to book the tickets. And leave Vijay alone as currently he is the most influential and productive star in the industry; K-Town has in store.
