What has
happened in the Tamil Big Boss house?
They gave Pradeep a red card. Is it a fair accusation?
What does the feminist movement have to do with it?
Pradeep got
eliminated in this week’s episode; because most of his housemates stood against
him, accusing him of passing degrading comments on women. But was it the actual
case?
Kamal Hassan, the host of Tamil Big Boss, had to make a tough decision when
Pradeep faced accusations. They judged him when contestants like Maya,
Poornima, Jovika, and Raveena placed some strong accusations against him.
But the key
problem of the week was when he used foul language against Cool Suresh, but
Suresh did not wish to give a red card to his housemate.
Kamal Hassan’s weekend episode spread like wildfire on social media; when
most are supporting Pradeep and are standing against this unfair eviction. Some
are standing with the decision.
But as an audience,
it seems like pure manipulation by Maya and Poornima by using the situation
against a strong contestant.
The Roman era witnessed the beginnings of feminism way back in the 3rd century
BCE. This developed over centuries; creating harmony, and balanced equity among all genders. But now men are more scared to voice out their opinion because of
the rise of this pseudo-feminism. Big Boss Tamil show and Kamal Hassan sir
could have been more careful around this topic.
They should
deliver justice equally, irrespective of their gender. A show with such many viewers let down their audiences with a tremendous terrible example.
